OVERVIEW OF EMERALD CREATURES
Emerald Creatures is a mobile-game development company located in Santa Monica, California. The company is primarily known for creating the game series of the same name. Emerald Creatures is a game about digging into dark caves to find, collect and battle Gem Creatures, magical monsters based on different types of gemstones, like sapphire, diamond, ruby, or the rarest of them all: emerald.
LOGO
The Emerald Creatures logo has three primary components. First is the dragon face, which is a modeled after the mascot character of the franchise, the legendary Emeraldagoon. Emeraldagoon is very popular and recognizable to fans of the franchise, which makes it a perfect fit for brand recognition. Second is the text "Emerald Creatures," which is written in Georgia font but modified to look sharper and more jewel-like. Both those elements have a outer glow to give them depth while placed over a purple-circle with a yellow border to gie the logo and emblem look.

USAGE
The Emerald Creatures should not be distorted, altered, or changed in any way. This includes changing colors, elongating the shape, removing any elements, or displaying the logo in black and white. Any misuse of the logo will result in a penalty of removing displaying privilages. An example of misuse is displayed here.
FONT
Georgia
The official font of Emerald Creatures is Georgia. We shoose this font for it's sharp edges and readability. The Logo uses a slightly modifed version of the font to have bigger spikes and sharper edges to match the gemstone theming.
COLOR SET
The color set of the logo is primarily focused on the green, emerald tones that make up the dragon face and text. To maximize readability on any background, the logo is placed over a purple circle with a yellow border. These colors were choosen for aethetic appeal to create a more eyecatching logo.
INSPIRATION
The dragon emoji served as the basis for the design of Emeraldagoon. The friendly nature and the ability for the image to be recognizable at any size made this image a perfect source of inspiration and design philosphy for the dragon face in our logo.
The Minecraft emerald was the inspiration behind the color choice for the branding. The shape the shape of the pupil of the dragons eye and the "E" in emerald. Many gamers strongly associate this shape and color with emeralds due to the popularity of Minecraft, and we wanted to incorporate that into our branding.
The layout of the logo takes inspiration from Riot Games. The visual icon on the left and the text on the right works well for game development studios.
